You know that feeling of eating an entire bag of salty chips and still feeling empty at the end?
That’s the same feeling I felt while chasing success without a bigger purpose to guide me.
I wanted to “make it” so I could prove to myself and others that I was capable.
I thought success would finally fill the void I felt inside my heart for so long, but the more successful I became the more empty I felt. I was chasing everything outside of me to make me feel in a way that only true self acceptance and connection with God could give me.
You can’t win by playing the money game exclusively. The more you make the more you want, it’s like eating that bag of salty chips, it’s never enough.
As soon as you reach a new level of success you’ll find someone else even more successful. The comparison game of living inside this cog machine that society made us believe to be true is unwinnable. It’s meant to keep us trapped focused on what’s out there so we never look towards what’s within.
The true forces keeping us away from the life of our dreams lives inside of us, the deeper you go the more you understand how this is all a game and we can pick which vibration we want to focus on at any given time.
Fear is the vibration that keeps us playing small, it keeps focused on lack, on the illusion that there isn’t enough love, money, success… that we were born to grind, hustle and suffer. It paralyzes us from moving forward so we live in a loop of fear and anxiety no matter where we go with our careers and relationships.
On the other side of fear there’s trust. This trust isn’t in our humanity but in a force greater than all of us that guides us towards the true destiny of our lifetime. Within this trust is where we can find freedom and inner peace knowing that we can focus on taking aligned action and surrendering the rest to God.
I straddle the line between fear and trust often in my own life, in moments of self doubt and not knowing which step to take next, I fall into inertia. But then I inevitably find evidence again and again of being shown the way with so much clarity that I have no other choice but to move forward aligned with my life’s purpose.
I know that my struggle in finding fulfillment in my life isn’t unique. We have been programmed from very early on to believe happiness is outside of us, it takes time and awareness to create a new reality so be patient with yourself if you’re on this journey of deconditioning.
Here’s a link to a meditation I created to help you get in touch with your deepest desires that will lead you to a life of purpose.
Remember that the choice between fear and trust is always there for us.
You have the power to pick which frequency to focus on today.
