Built on nine years of entrepreneurship and scaling businesses, my personal brand revolves around my transformative journey from a successful entrepreneur who hustled hard and often compromised my personal well-being to a life and business coach who emphasizes meaning, purpose, and impact. I desire to be a leading beacon of hope, inspiration, and transformative change by showcasing not only the successes but also the struggles and the "messy middle" stages of transformation to encourage healing and growth.
At the start of my entrepreneurial journey, my only goal was to make money and show the world how successful I could become. My intentions were fueled by my ego and vanity around how I was being perceived.
I never connected with my authentic self.
My deepest desires.
My life purpose.
My legacy.
I built a business on a cracked foundation filled with insecurities and at the peak of all my material success, I never felt more empty inside.
I bootstrapped 3 businesses from 2014-2021. I hustled SO HARD because I thought that's what I needed to do to be successful. I compromised time for myself, my family, and my friends and kept going feeling all the signs of complete burnout and mental exhaustion–I started to question everything and all the ideas I had regarding true success.
I went deep into a journey of finding my truest and most authentic version through inner child healing exercises, hypnotherapy, and meditation practices. Becoming more of myself has allowed me to own up to the massive impact my soul desires to create by helping others find their own versions of truth and authenticity.
I am married to Creighton Bertrand, the best life partner, and personal life coach I could have ever hoped for. I’m passionate about creating impact through building businesses although the biggest impact I can think of having in this lifetime is being a mother to the three most extraordinary human beings I’ve ever met: Kylah, Jaxton, and Aliyah. There’s not one day that goes by that I don’t feel immense gratitude for having the privilege to be their mother.
My first college major was Psychology but after realizing traditional schooling just wasn’t for me I went towards a more creative outlet at that time in my life. I received a BA in Interior Design in 2011.
I was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. At the age of 16, I moved to the U.S. to live with my dad in Southern California. I packed one suitcase with my favorite things and without speaking a single word of English I braved a new culture open hearted and eager to start a new chapter in my life.
Starting coaching I had an idea of what I wanted but no clarity on what it really was or how I was going to get there. I was actually afraid to dream big because I didn't know how to start. Fernanda helped me get clarity on my big goals and thin slice them down to actionable steps I could take each day. Not to mention how much she helped me identify my ideal client and how to adjust my marketing and messaging to actually resonate with them.
Seeing success holistically goes beyond how much money you have in your bank account or any external validation. When you get crystal clear on your life’s mission you’ll start to operate from a place of love rather than one of lack. When you try to squeeze yourself into a box that society says you should fit in, you might be able to manifest material success but the fulfillment part will always be lacking. I believe in living a life where focusing on your passions inevitably leads to success.
I was looking for guidance for starting a new business, but this was so much more. Doing the deep work determining who I am and want to be, smoothly flows into how and why I want to create a business. Knowing your "why" for a business creates it to be an authentic extension of what you represent.
